“JJ’s paintings reflect the transience of light’s impact on the landscape and the colour transformations it creates through the seasons. Her work is inspired by the landscape, the natural world and the positive effect this has on the human spirit. These elements illuminate her work capturing colour, emotion and life force and how these alter our impressions of our surroundings.“
JJ studied Communication Studies at Goldsmiths College University of London. She worked in TV & Film Production for Channel 4 and Sky directing and producing a diverse range of programmes in the UK and abroad.
Wanting to forge her own creative path she studied Interior Design with Architecture at Chelsea College of Art and oil painting at Heatherley School of Fine Art in Chelsea and now works as a creative consultant and artist.
JJ works predominantly in oils, her paintings have been exhibited in London, Dorset, Suffolk, Sussex and Kenya, and her work is in private collections in the UK and abroad.
