Tushar Sabale is an award winning Indian born, British artist based in London. He paints from life, en plein air but occasionally enjoys painting objects. He places his work between ‘Impressionism’ and ‘Realism’ with some ‘Luminist’ touches.
Tushar has been painting since the age of 10 and had a major boost to his passion after winning two consecutive National Awards and a First prize in painting competitions amongst one million entries. He has a degree in Architecture and has done masters in Product designing. He worked as a lead creative designer for international brands and as a bespoke jewellery designer for many Hollywood films like Tim Burtons’ Dark Shadows, Disney’s Maleficient, Snow-white and the Huntsman and so on. All through those years, he continued painting and a few years back decided to become a full time professional painter.
Tushar is now the elected member of ‘The Wapping Group of Artists’, and also a member of ‘The British Plein Air Painters’.
Tushar is the co-founder of ‘The London Plein Air Painters’ group that has close to 300 artist members who come together every month to paint in the city of London.
In 2023 Tushar was awarded ‘The Green & Stone Award’ at the Annual Summer Show, a prize of £10,000 – a solo show as a part of the win.
Tushar is also the recipient of the prestigious ‘Cadogan Award’ for the culture in the Chelsea community at the 74 th Annual Summer Show of Chelsea Art Society. He has also won many awards at the plein air competitions including ‘The Great Broadway Paint out’.
Tushar regularly exhibits his works in many galleries including the Mall galleries at the annual shows of various societies like the NEAC, RSMA, ING Discerning Eye etc. He is represented by fine art galleries across the country. In 2024 he had a very successful solo show at ‘The Green and Stone’ Gallery with more than 50 paintings on display.
