Susanna studied Fine Art printmaking at Manchester Metropolitan University School of Fine Art with an Erasmus exchange to L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Rennes, France. It was whilst studying in France that she caught the bug of Plein air painting.
Susanna is an energetic painter, with a love of travel and painting from life, predominantly using oils. Susanna has always been fascinated by perspective and capturing interesting compositions in paint. She seeks out motifs that will catch not only her eye but the viewer of her executed painting. Susanna enjoys the play of light on a subject, be it on busy streets, buildings, wet pavements, rooftops, or from inside an interior looking out, to give an example. Her subject matter reflects her inspiration according to the season, giving a journalistic approach to her work.
Susanna is happy to accept commissions and has a growing collection of examples available to view on her instagram which is updated daily.
