Louise Diggle

Plein air painter

Louise’s work is about the transient moment; the rapidly changing light, colour and seasons and how it transforms people, buildings and objects. She always works en plein air and mainly in pastel which suits the fragility of time. She studied at the City and Guilds and CCAT and is a council member of the Chelsea Art Society and the Small Paintings Group.

Current projects include iconic London; events and life on the Thames. Crowds often feature, from Hungerford Bridge to Stamford Bridge or along the banks of the Ganges or Seine.

She exhibits regularly with the Pastel Society, Morwood Art, Medici Gallery, Sarah Samuels Fine Paintings and has a biannual studio show at Wimbledon Studios.
