Jo grew up in a musical and artistic family. She studied drawing and composition at The Heatherley Art School and over the past few years her artistic development in painting has been guided by Robin Child. She exhibits her work in London at Cricket Fine Art in Chelsea and Hungerford.

Much of her inspiration comes from the Devon landscape and her garden through the seasons. The richness of the colours, mixing the palette and composition are so important. She endeavours to ‘find’ the painting rather than ‘making it’, constantly experimenting with different materials and is spurred on by the studying of the great 20th century painters such as Joan Eardley, Richard Diebenkorn, Joan Mitchell and Ivon Hitchens.

She exhibits in Devon with The South West Academy, Artenax in Topsham, and The Brownston Gallery, Modbury.
