Elfrieda Lusty

MRBS

Elfrieda lives in London and works from her West London Studio. She trained in Vienna then at Richmond College of Art, St. Martins School of Art, Chelsea College and Kensington and Chelsea College.

Elfrieda was elected to become a Member of the Society of British Sculptors in 2006.

Her work is mainly abstract and she works with a variety of materials. She welds steel and constructs sculptures using brass copper and most other semi-precious metals and also aluminium. She works with complete freedom of form which allows her to express strong physical movement and capture the energy and spirit of motion. She often uses topical events to freeze the moment of time in content and form. She is now also working with clear and brightly coloured acrylic sheets, together with metals, to create layered abstract wall sculptures.

Elfrieda has exhibited regularly, both in one man shows, as well as group exhibitions in Central London and surrounding counties. Her work has been acquired by professional and medical practices, as well as collectors and private buyers. She has exhibited with the Chelsea Art Society since 1990, and also at the Royal Society of British Artists, The Mall Galleries, Society of Women Artists and with the Holy Trinity Arts Guild.
