Biography
My diverse background (born in Catalan Spain, educated in France and settled in London by the age of 20 after marrying a South African-Briton) and my inborn curiosity have given me a need to explore and to travel.
Although interested in art, I came relatively late to sculpture after a career in teaching languages but it soon became a passion that overtook my life.
Having started from a relatively classical background, I soon felt the need to explore new techniques, materials and subjects and was drawn into more stylised and contemporary sculpture. In most of my work, I can still pick up this classical start. Using plaster, stone and clay has helped me develop my style with cleaner, simple lines, yet each piece retains its own emotion.
