Austin Cole is a prize winning artist/printmaker with a degree and Masters in Fine Art He was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) in 2011, and a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Arts (SGFA) in 2014. In 2021 he was elected an associated member of the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers (RE) and a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy (RCA)
He exhibits regularly in London and the UK. His work has previously exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition where one of his prints won a best Student prize in 2016. He has also exhibited with Lynn Painters and Stainer’s, the Discerning Eye, the New English Art Club (NEAC), the Royal Marine Society as well as the Masters and Originals print exhibitions.
His prints are etchings using techniques such as hard grounds and aquatint used by artists such as Rembrandt Goya and modern artists such as Lucian Freud and Norman Ackroyd. His subjects range from urban landscapes of the city and the coastal landscape of Wales.
