Amanda tends to work on a small scale and her work encompasses still life, landscapes and portraits. She loves painting from life, making the most of a sudden impulse to paint things and the freedom that oil painting brings. From beans on toast – to a plastic duck – to a tractor (…or two)!
She is a keen runner, and running across the fields around her home enables her to discover painting spots to return to. Recent work has involved spending time painting tractors on a farm.
Amanda has a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art from Coventry University, and has also taken short courses at the Slade School of Art, The Art Academy and a Foundation Art and Design course at Mander College, Bedford.
She was elected as a member of Chelsea Art Society in 2016.
Amanda lives and works in Bedfordshire.
